Justin
Breeding led the first two laps of the Street Modified feature.
Kelly Putz quickly moved from fourth to take the lead on lap three
with Jack Mullins following into second. Breeding’s drive ended on
lap five when he slowed to a stop in the turn bringing out the
yellow. Putz was able to pull away on the restart and Eric Vent
moved in to challenge Mullins for second. At the halfway sign the
top five were Putz, Vent, Mullins,
Daniel
Fieldler and Tyler Reed.
Putz
maintained a comfortable lead with Mullins working back into second
with three to go. Putz crossed under the checkered first but the car
failed the post race inspection and Putz was relegated to 23rd
spot. The infraction did not result in any other penalty. Mullins
was credited with the win which made his point battle with Putz a
comfortable one instead of a nail-biter. Second went to Vent with
Herb Tunis coming on in the late stages to finish in third. Fourth
went to Joe Warren who started in 14th and fifth to Jon
Callaway who started all the way back in 18th.

Joe Warren led the first lap of the 15-lap
Street Modified feature before Jon Callaway, who started in fifth
used the outside groove to take the lead. Three cautions in the
first half kept the field tightly packed. At the halfway sign the
top five were Callaway, Kelly Putz, Warren, Tyler Reed, and Ryan
Walls.
Walls took fourth on lap on lap ten and one
lap later moved by Warren for third. The final yellow was out on lap
11 when George Ralph III tangle in the turn and hit the wall hard.
Callaway, in the Callaway Furniture/Bennie’s Junction/Rocket
remained unshaken by the yellow and turned in a flawless three laps

Warren had built a lead but that was erased
on lap 11 when Ryan Walls rolled to a stop. Warren was not shaken by
the yellow and again opened up a lead as Callaway went to the top
groove and started passing cars in the top five. When the checkered
fell it was Warren, in the Big Fish Grill/Del South Machine/Lazer
added to his win total. Tunis drove a flawless race and finished in
second with Callaway climbing to third on the final lap. Jack
Mullins finished in the fourth spot and Kelly Putz rounded out the
top five. The
Snookie’s Speed Parts Top Qualifier also went to Putz. Daniel

Eric Vent was
quick and smooth from his pole starting spot in the 15-lap Street
Modified feature. Joe Warren maintained a close chase from second
with Kelly Putz in riding in third. The first yellow was out just
before halfway tightening the field and at the crossed flags the top
five were Vent, Warren, Putz, Barry Beauchamp and Jack Mullins.
Two more
cautions on lap nine and lap 12 would keep the leaders close but
Vent was not to be denied as he added to his first year wins in the
division driving the Clark’s Pools No. 86. Warren would be equally
as smooth as he followed Vent across the line in second with Putz
tuning in another good run to finish in third. Fourth went to
Beauchamp and Andrew Mullins got by Jack Mullins on the final lap to
finish in fifth. Fast time in qualifying went to Kevin Scott, Jr.
who was celebrating his 16th birthday.

Barry Beauchamp took advantage of his pole
starting position in the 15-lap Street Modified feature and quickly
established himself as the car to beat. The battle for second was
intense and went three wide with Jack Mullins and Eric Vent making
contact. Vent’s car sustained suspension damage and pulled into the
infield and the yellow was out.
Kelly Putz regained second from Mullins on
the restart and began to pressure Beauchamp. On lap 12 Putz took the
lead but Beauchamp mounted a final run on the last lap. Misfortune
struck Beauchamp as he entered the third turn and the drive shaft
came out of the car. Putz, in the First State Chevy/Brown Bros.
Service & Repair/Monte Carlo would drive to the checkered. Mullins
finished in second with Kevin Scott, Jr. third. Fourth went to Jon
Callaway who started in 16th and
Mike Wilson rounded out the top five. Beauchamp, who set fast time
in qualifying, coasted across the line in 18th.

in the Street Modifieds. Barry Beauchamp headed the field for the
first five laps before Mullins moved on top. Kevin Scott, Jr.
grabbed second one lap later but would never be able to seriously
challenge Mullins for the lead.
Mullins, in the Bi-Rite Auto Sales/Cadillac
took the win by 1.77 seconds over Kevin Scott, Jr. Beauchamp turned
in a good run to finish in third with Andrew Mullins taking fourth
and Justin Breeding fifth. Jack Mullins set fast time in qualifying

Street Modifieds saw young Justin Breeding on the pole for the start
of their 15-lap feature. Breeding took the lead into turn one, and
held it for the first lap, but lap two saw points leader Jack
Mullins take his Cadillac around on the outside and capture the
lead. No one had anything for the flying Mullins as he streaked to
another win and padded his point lead. Joe Warren had his hands
full as Breeding tried to hold on to second. Warren went to the
high side and got by Breeding, but could never challenge the leader
for the rest of the race. Breeding tried to hang on to the third
spot as Kelly Putz came to challenge for that spot. The two changed
positions a couple of times, but when the race was over, Breeding
held on for third and Putz settled for fourth. Kevin Scott Jr. had
a strong run in fifth.

Eric
Vent led from green to the checkered to win the 15-lap Street
Modfied feature. A strong field of 28 cars was on hand with 26
cars taking the green. Barry Beauchamp gave chase for the first
two laps before Mike Wilson moved to second. Jack Mullins made
Wilson’s chase short lived as he took the runner-up spot and at
halfway was followed by Herb Tunis, Wilson and Andrew Mullins in
the top five.
Tunis and Mullins made contact in a battle for second with two
laps to go with Mullins getting around bringing out the final
yellow. Vent was not to be denied as he held off Tunis on the
restart to record his second consecutive win in the Clark’s Pools/Lazer.
Vent was credited with the victory last week after a thorough post
race inspection found Erik McKinney to have an illegal motor. As
per the rules for the crate engine division, the engine had to be
relinquished to the track, all season points were forfeited, and a
$5000 fine must be paid for the car to be reinstated. Ironically,
Vent had lost a win to a post race inspection two weeks prior.
Rounding out the top five were Tunis, Wilson, Mullins, and
Beauchamp. Billy Mellon crossed the finish in fourth but failed
the post race inspection. Fast time in qualifying was set by Vent
with Kelly Putz winning the consolation.

Eric Vent
shot from his third starting spot to take the lead on the first
lap of the 15-lap Street Modified feature. Kelly Putz pressured

Warren, Justin Breeding and Barry Beauchamp.
Vent would make no mistakes as he drove the Clark’s Pool/BRC Lazer

made the best of it as he led wire to wire in the 15-lap Street
Modified feature. Warren was never seriously challenged as he
drove to his fourth win of the season in the Big Fish
Grill/Pizza Palace/Lazer.
Jack Mullins and Mike Wilson had a heated battle
throughout the entire distance with Mullins crossing the line in
second. Erik McKinney came on strong in the closing laps and
