    2006 TUSA Nationals

July 6th, 2006 TUSA (Team United Sanctioning Association) invited the Mod Lite Jr's to run at Clary's Speedway in Brinkleyville, North Carolina for the very first time.  The team had never raced outside of Middleford  much less out of state.  We were honored to attend this event and looked forward to the experience.

The day started out with blue sky's, that was until the Mod Lites took the red clay.  Not knowing if they would run or not with the storms right over head, track officials were trying to speed things up in order to let the Jr's take the clay.  As all the Mod Lites took the field there was ONE who was unable to get their car fired.  JUSTIN!  Attempted after attempted nothing, announcers warned "Last Call, (they were allowing Justin to TRY and get his car on the track) we have to TRY to get this in." Right after those words Justin's car fired and he was able to get to the  track.  As the green flag flew so did Justin, staying consistent in every move he made.  With the storm at bay the drivers were able to get their race in.

Justin started 2nd in the 15 lap shoot out  and ended his First National Race with a Victory!
